Here is what I have to offer:

Digital Scrapbooking Freebie - Zombie Attack Mini and Zombie Attack Pixels

Hello World!  I hope your day is filled with super cute zombies, ghosts and princesses!  My kids are all very excited and this is the first year in 10 that we live in town and will be giving out candy.  For the past 10 years we have lived out of town and didn't have kids come to our door.  I can't decide if I'm excited or not but seeing the kids so happy makes it worth it.

Today I have two freebies for you.  One you have to work for and can also collect many other freebies from my fellow PDW Designers along the way.  You can find the info in the forum here.  My part looks like this:

The second freebie is right here on the blog.  I am loving the "Pixels" trend right now and am seeing it everywhere.  Even in my crocheting!!!  So here are some Zombie Attack Pixels Papers to go with the rest of the mini kit.  I hope you love them :)  I broke it up into two zips because some of my Digiscrap buddies in remote areas still need smaller downloads.

Have a spooky happy weekend but remember to stay safe :)

I would really appreciate it if you leave a comment with suggestions of what you would like to receive free next.  Do you want more melted crayons stuff? or do you want a new and different kit?

Free Photoshop Action - Tag Cutter

Today I have another actions for you to play with.  One thing every scrapbook kit can use is a tag or two.  I created this set of custom shapes and the action to go with it years ago.  It puts each tag on it's own layer so all you have to do is drag it onto a new canvas and save or delete all the other layer and save.

This action is easy to install and use.  To install simply unzip the folder then drag the custom shapes (.csh) into Photoshop and drag the action (.atn) into Photoshop. Then open 12X12 background that is 300ppi. even a photo or texture will look amazing but it must be the correct size to work properly.

This action has been tested in PSCS all the way up to PSCS4 which is the version I currently use myself.  If you have a newer version will you please leave a comment letting me know if they do or do not work for you?

To download click on the preview or click here

This action set is CU/PU/S4H/S4O so use it for whatever you wish, even something you are selling.

Free Photoshop Styles - Wet Paint

Today I have these awesome Photoshop styles for you.  They look like very thick wet paint and I have used them myself many times.  Honesty they look even better before the item is merged but one of Photoshops little quirks takes away some of the texture and shininess. These are CU/PU/S4O/S40, what this means is you can use them for anything, even items you are selling.  I created them for digital scrapbooking kits but really there are so many other things they could be used for so have fun!!!  These ones are in fall colors but I think I will add a few more colors over the next few weeks.  I also have some fun 70's glass styles and some foil styles that I will be releasing soon so come back often :)

You can either click on the preview or click here to download these styles hassle free.  That means no media-fire of any other download service yay!!!

Have a super day from Tracy K. :)

Free Digital Scrapbooking Quickpage!

Today I have a free quickpage for you to download.  To use it you will need a program that is capable of layers such as Photoshop elements or gimp.  Gimp is free and I am sure there are many other programs you could use.  Just add your own photo behind the quickpage then add a layer above and type out a few details that you want to remember and voila!  A super cute and stylish memory that you can even print and frame or upload to a site like Shutterfly and have it professionally printed in a book.

Today I also have a treat for you.  Hassle free downloading!!!  No more going to media fire for my sweet followers.  Now you just have to click on the preview or the link, whichever one suits you best.

I used both my Leaving Home Patterned Papers found here.

and my new Leaving Home Painted Papers and Elements which will available Friday here.

So now onto the freebie.  You can grab it here.

Please tell all your friends and share as much as possible to keep the freebies coming.  Also free to link to my post but don't share the freebie itself.  In other words send people to this post to download the quickpage.

Thank you so much and have a super day :)

Free Photoshop Styles!

It has been a long time since I regularly released freebies on my blog.  There was a time when I was the number one scrapbook freebie blog!!!  That seems like a lifetime ago but I bet some of my long term digi scrap friends remember.  I really want to build up a new following and become a great designer again so I am going to work on my skills by frequently releasing freebies here on the site.  These freebies will be CU/PU/SHO/S4H or PU/S4H/S4O depending on what they are.  For todays freebie it can be used for anything you desire.  There are no limits on these styles.  I hope you can find some cool things to create with them.  So yes you can create digital items to sell with these styles or digital items that you are giving away for free.  It is all up to you so have some fun :)

Also please like me on Facebook, it would mean a lot to me and help me to become established as a digital scrapbook kit designer again :)

Have a super day from Tracy K.

Roller Skate Skirt and Swing Tank Top - Both from Scattered Thoughts of a Crafy Mom and both are free patterns :)

I can't believe it has been a year since I last posted something!!!  The past year has been busy and fun and sad and stressful.  We lost my brother in law very suddenly at the age of 45.  This has hit me hard.  I have known him since I was 16 or so and when the hubby and I first moved out we all shared an apartment.  I still find myself thinking of him everyday and I still feel a jolt every time I realize he is gone.

On a lighter note I have gotten back to sewing recently and have taught myself to crochet as well.  Yesterday I sewed up a new outfit for Allie and she wore it to school today.  I used two patterns from Jamie at Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom  .  I must say I love her patterns and will be sewing up as many more as I can manage to scrounge up fabric for.

So the two I sewed up are the Roller Skate Skirt and the Swing Tank Top.

First the details on the skirt.  I sewed up the size 10 with no modifications.  For the hem I used my favorite way to finish off a circle skirt.  I zig-zagged over the raw edge and then I sewed a line at the 3/8 mark.  Then I simply folded at the stitch line and pinned all the way around.  I sewed around the whole skirt keeping the edge even with my presser foot.  I have tried different ways to hem circle skirts and another one that works really well is to use a ribbon.  You can either sew it to the wrong side and then flip it to the right side and sew it down or sew it to the right side and flip it to the wrong side and sew it down.  One way gives you a really cute contrast border (if you choose a contrasting ribbon that is) and the other gives you a clean edge.  The way I used also gives you a nice clean edge with no little ripples.  I have found that I tend to get ripples in the hem if I try to double fold it on a curve.  All three of the fabrics on the skirt are thrifted.  The skirt panels started out life as twin size sheet and cost me $2 each at the local Salvation Army.  I have tons left to create more super awesome things!!!  The waist band is a t-shirt bought for 50 cents, again at the local Salvation Army.  I bought two and used the other one to create the matching top.

Second the top.  I love the detail of the curved "swing" hem on this tank.  It takes it from boring and plain to oh so cute.  Again I sewed up a size 10.  This time I used an old t-shirt that I bought for 50 cents at the thrift shop. I kept the existing neckline (yay!!! because they are the most challenging part of sewing a shirt).  To do this I cut the shirt apart along the side seams and cut off the sleeves.  I left the shoulder seams alone.  Then I spread the shirt out on my table and carefully folded it in half length wise.  I pinned the front and back pattern pieces on, being careful to pay attention to how the neckline was lining up, then I cut everything out.  It worked like a charm!!!

To add the Cat applique (because Allie is Cat crazy even though we don't have a cat) I used some iron on fusible webbing and ironed it on, then sewed a zig-zag around the edges.  The applique is the part I am least proud of.  This was the first project sewn with my new (1960's) sewing machine.  I picked it up at the Salvation Army for $20 when I moved here.  Most of my belongings are in storage in my former home because the kids and I joined my hubby with limited items.  At first I was panicking that I couldn't fit my trusty sewing machine in the vehicle but I found my new beauty only a few days after we arrived.  She was waiting for me I think!!!  Anyhow, I did a horrible job on the stitching around the Cat but Allie doesn't even care :)  Bonus!!!

So without further ado here are some pics!!!  Sorry they are iPhone pics, my trusty Sony had decided to stop working boo hooo!

Look at my muscles Mom :) and she loved her Popsicle lol

The skirt really turned out awesome despite the fact that the stripes are running different ways on the panels.  It never even occurred to me that this would happen if I cut both panels at once from the sheet.  Live and learn I guess.

I did add some little flutter sleeves.  They are super easy to do.  Cut a strip about twice as long as you want it to end up and twice as wide.  Fold it in half lengthwise and iron it.  Cut curves on the raw edge and then run a gathering stitch on the raw edge.  Gather to the length you want and pin it to the edge of your sleeve.  Line up the raw edges (you want the folded edge of the ruffle pointing to the neckline).  Finish your sleeves as the pattern states from here (add the armhole binding) then when you are done flip your ruffle out away from the neckline and top stitch it down.

I love this sassy little gal!!!

Slightly closer look at the Cat applique.

And she is outta here!!  Back into the house to join her friend who was playing Minecraft on the Xbox.

I hope when she grows up she will remember our little photo sessions with happy feelings.  So far she seems to really love them and was bragging that her Mom takes pictures of her in every new outfit.  It made me smile :)

Have a super day and I  hope you have some time to do something you love doing soon.
